New Moon February 2019
From back to front: shell picture representing the Goddess, light therapy light, acorn picture representing the God; Living Earth Devotional, old ash tray holding little jade Buddha statue and a white tea light candle, A Book of Pagan Prayer; small brass bell, habit tracker, small brass candle snuffer. I kept my red altar cloth and switched out my green one for pink in honor of Imbolc. January I didn’t do so well with establishing habits but I’m off to a pretty good start this month and setting an intention to do better in February with the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual habits I’m keeping track of.
Imbolc 2019
For Imbolc, instead of just having my spouse read me another meditation from Magical Meditations, we were able to go out of our way to attend a celebration and potluck in the city at First Unitarian. Since I'm still half in the broom closet, I referred to it as a "church potluck." Service was lovely. Leader lit quarter candles, read a guided meditation, and also lit some tealight candles with a communal response. I was happy I knew the song we sang at the end:
May the circle be open but unbroken
May the [peace/love/joy] of the Goddess
Be ever in your heart
Merry meet
And merry part
And merry meet again.
