House Warming

I picked up a Housewarming candle from Blue Eagle the other day. Spouse and I did a little housewarming ritual. We lit candle (on a heatproof old ashtray I use for this purpose), turned on all the lights, opened all the windows, made some noise, and went from room to room stating our intentions for the space. I didn’t think the wax drippings looked like anything but when I took the candle off, the wax dripped in the shape of a heart! Hopefully this bodes well for the new place.

Saying Goodbye

November has some grief anniversaries for me. On the anniversary of the last time I saw my first fiancé alive I decided to light a black candle and burn some rose incense for 15 minutes. I think I’ll repeat this as needed leading up to the anniversary of his death in the middle of December.

New Moon May 2019

This past weekend, I blessed my new dream journal with a lavender scented candle in a purple container, lavender essential oil on the first & last pages, and amethyst.
